Liquid Stearate Dispersions
Our core business at FACI eChem is the production of calcium stearate and zinc stearate aqueous dispersions, derived from vegetable-based stearic acid.
These dispersions are valued for their lubricating, anti-caking, hydrophobic, and stabilising properties.
Typical applications for stearate dispersions include:
- Lubricants in paper coatings to prevent dusting and fold-cracking
- Water-repellents or anti-efflorescent additives in concrete
- Anti-tack agents in the manufacture and processing of rubber

Liquid Esters
Liquid esters are used in a wide range of industries for their lubricating properties, solvency and resistance to oxidation.
They are characterised by their low volatility compared with many traditional solvents, making them suitable as replacements for solvents in coatings, inks and pressroom cleaners, as well as in lubricants and metalworking fluids.

PEG Esters
PEG esters surfactants have excellent emulsifying properties due to their hydrophilic and lipophilic components. These products also have the added benefit of low toxicity, and are readily biodegradable, offering a low hazard alternative to alcohol ethoxylates and nonyl phenol ethoxylates.
Their low foaming tendency and good wetting/dispersing properties allow these products to be used in a variety of applications:
- Lubricants in textile processing
- Cutting oils and metalworking fluids
- Solvent cleaners and emulsifiable degreasers
- Emulsifiers for self-emulsifying herbicides, insecticides and fungicides
- Emulsifiers for cosmetic creams and toiletry emulsions
- Emulsifiers for polymer latex production
- Pigment dispersants (organic and inorganic pigments in aqueous and non-aqueous systems)
- Plasticizers/viscosity modifiers in mastics, adhesives, emulsion paints and PVC plastisols
Our standard range is listed below, however, we can also produce PEG’s 200, 400, and 600 as mono and di-oleates, laurates and stearates, covering a wide range of HLB values.

Dispersing Agents
Dispersing agents are surface-active additives used to improve the dispersion and stability of solid particles in liquids. They help prevent agglomeration (clumping) and ensure uniform distribution in various industrial applications:
- Prevent pigment settling in paints & coatings
- Maintain even dispersion of fine powders in ceramics & inks
- Improve workability and strength of concrete and cement
Our Products
Coalescing Agents
Coalescing agents are additives used in water-based coatings, paints, and adhesives to help film formation by softening polymer particles so they merge (coalesce) into a continuous, uniform film as the water evaporates. There is a growing requirement for coalescing agents for water based coatings which are more environmentally friendly and which meet the stricter controls on volatile organic compounds (VOCs). FACI eChem can provide a product that meets those needs and exceed performance requirements.
